create stable employment in rural areas

We collaborate with artisans from a small village south of Antsirabe. In a region where economic opportunities are scarce, we have established a stable production chain, where each person is trained and fairly compensated.
Today, around ten artisans make a living from their work with Mada Social Bags. Our goal is to create a long-term workshop to further structure the activity, offer a suitable working environment, and broaden its social impact.

The model we advocate is based on a simple principle: fairly compensating skilled work. Each craftsperson is paid three times more than they would earn elsewhere for equivalent work. In addition to this, we fund:

• health insurance
• retirement insurance
• opening a personal bank account

These are fundamental rights that allow artisans to achieve real financial autonomy and to plan for the future with security.

support children's education

The impact of Mada Social Bags doesn't stop at the artisans' income. We've set up a fund that covers school fees and school supplies for their children.
The objective is clear: to break the cycle of insecurity by enabling the next generation to have access to quality education, in good conditions.

Our brand stands in opposition to an industry that exploits labor in low-cost countries. We refuse to compromise between low prices and human rights abuses.
